Hey there!

Thank you for being here. Whether you are here returning as a lifer, or stopping by out of curiosity; We welcome you into our corner of the pool & thank you for supporting us.

We often get asked how we started this business and why we ended up staying. To be honest, I didn't see the big vision Tanner saw 8 years ago. I had no idea this summer swimming gig would forever change the trajectory of our lives.
I saw him teaching swimming lessons as just a side gig. A passion project that prevented us from living paycheck to paycheck.


Because of this belief, I encouraged Tanner to go back to school and do what he originally planned on doing. Tanner dove back into school with the end goal of becoming a pediatric physician's assistant. We both took turns raising our son and tag-teaming one another out the door with our opposite work schedules. Each day Tanner would talk about his love for teaching swim and how he couldn't wait to be back in the pool. Every year the countdown till the first pool opened was strong.

At this point, I finally paused in my tracks and caught a glimpse of what Tanner saw and felt. I asked Tanner if he wanted to teach swimming until he was old. He smiled with tears in his eyes and nodded. It was an easy yes. Kind of like him asking me to marry him. It felt out of our hands. Almost like, if he didn't pursue this we would be doing the world and our community a disservice. So, he dropped school. We packed up our little apartment and transitioned from Utah County to Davis county 4 years ago.

Since then our little business has now become a big business and it's surreal. Typing these words... I am overwhelmed by gratitude.

As Tanner's wife, I didn't understand the true power these lessons held until I jumped into the pool with him and began to witness these little miracles every day.
As much as we need to teach this younger generation how to float and survive, they also teach us. Every single day. They teach us to be patient, kind, gentle, intentional, present, dedicated, and aware.

Our hearts are overpouring with gratitude for everyone who trusted and believed in Tanner from Day one. Thank you for referring to him, for opening your home to him, and for seeing his big vision.

JoD, Owner of Utah Swim Academy Ignited a flame within Tanner and for that, I am forever grateful. Not only did she gift her lessons to Tanner with love, but she also gifted them to us with belief and abundance. Knowing we are sharing this skill for the greater good of humanity.
